The Lofts Screening Room is available from 11AM-10PM ~ 7 days a week
- Reservations are scheduled no more than 1 week in advance of reservation and can be booked for up to 3 hours.
- You may bring one of your own DVDs or watch one of ours. We have three per week to choose from. DVD copies will not play in our system so be sure that if you bring your own movie that it is an original DVD, and not a copy. We also feature Bright House Cable for your TV viewing pleasure. Call the office if you wish to arrange any pay-per-view events. Please arrive five minutes prior to your scheduled reservation time. Any resident who arrives 30 minutes late for a theater reservation will forfeit their reservation to the next stand-by resident in queue.
- Be sure to bring your Community Pass with you. This is not your electronic door key, but the laminated card with your name and apartment number that you were given when you moved in.
- When you arrive at the theater go inside, have a seat, relax, and make yourself comfortable. The attendant will be there to assist you within five minutes. If the attendant does not arrive within five minutes please check the lounge area, as he may be assisting another resident. If for some reason you still don’t see the attendant please call the courtesy desk downstairs at 407-998-1022. Courtesy personnel will page the attendant for you.
- For your convenience there is a vending machine with soda and treats in the screening room lobby area, or you are welcome to bring your own treats as well. Although food and beverages are permitted in the theater it is your responsibility to remove all trash and debris from area, including chair cup holders and cushions when you exit.
- Please note that the theater closes promptly at 10 pm. For that reason we discourage movie start times any later than 7:30pm since many two hour movies wouldn’t be completed by 10 o’clock if it were to start any later than 7:30. Please note that on our system many DVDs won’t allow the skipping of the opening previews which may last up to 15 minutes in length and could significantly cut into your movie time.
- Visit the lounge area when your movie is over and let the attendant know that you are finished using the theater. He will return your DVD to you. If he is not in the lounge area when your movie is over, he is probably taking care of other duties and will likely be back shortly. If you would prefer not to wait he will drop off your movie and community pass at the courtesy desk downstairs for you to pick up the following day.
If you have any questions or concerns please see the lounge Social Directors (Shane or Nick) in the evening, or contact the leasing office during regular business hours.
Thank you for making The Lofts at Uptown your home, and enjoy your movie!
