Baked Brie and Apple appetizer

Baked brie with apples and almonds. Perfect for all events!

  • 1 8oz round of brie
  • ½ cup chopped apple
  • ¼ cup sliced natural almonds
  • ¼ cup dried cranberries
  • 1 tbsp packed brown sugar
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp margarine- to be melted
  • Crackers, sliced apples for serving
  • Tip: I usually get the bigger round of brie and then end up doubling entire recipe.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Cut brie horizontally.
  • Cut apple into small pieces, add all ingredients to apple pieces (except butter.)

Add butter to apple mixture (moistens mixture.)

  • Place half of brie, rind side down in baking pan.
  • Add ½ of apple mixture onto top of 1st half of brie.
  • Put top of brie on mixture, rind side up…add other half of mixture to top.
  • Bake 12-15 minutes, til cheese is soft and begins to melt.
  • Serve with crackers, apple slices, etc.

Apple Dump Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 (21 ounce) can apple pie filling
  • 1 (18.25 ounce) package apples and cinnamon muffin mix
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, or to taste

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease one 9×13 inch baking pan
  2. Mix apple pie filling with ground cinnamon to taste. Pour mixture into pan. Sprinkle apples and cinnamon mixture over top of apples.
  3. In a small saucepan melt the butter or margarine and pour evenly over the top of the cake. Sprinkle with additional cinnamon if desired.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Serve hot with ice cream!
