Baked brie with apples and almonds. Perfect for all events!
- 1 8oz round of brie
- ½ cup chopped apple
- ¼ cup sliced natural almonds
- ¼ cup dried cranberries
- 1 tbsp packed brown sugar
- ¼ tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp margarine- to be melted
- Crackers, sliced apples for serving
- Tip: I usually get the bigger round of brie and then end up doubling entire recipe.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Cut brie horizontally.
- Cut apple into small pieces, add all ingredients to apple pieces (except butter.)
Add butter to apple mixture (moistens mixture.)
- Place half of brie, rind side down in baking pan.
- Add ½ of apple mixture onto top of 1st half of brie.
- Put top of brie on mixture, rind side up…add other half of mixture to top.
- Bake 12-15 minutes, til cheese is soft and begins to melt.
- Serve with crackers, apple slices, etc.
